Ew, Goo

Hand covered in goo

I remembered there was some really nice goo done in Spiderman 3 (one of the few good things about that trainwreck of a movie). A little behind the scene clip here:

Creepy Portraits Galore!

I’ve been compiling a file full of these stock vintage photographs that have a little bit of… eerieness. Maybe it’s the way the people are posing or their vacant stares, but some of these photos are just a little off. Great for my project though, as it will be in keeping with the mood. I originally planned to have just a few portaits hanging in the hallways, but I think it will look even more creepy with the walls completely covered with them, watching her every move. Sort of like it is in this frame from Harry Potter 3:

Teddy Bear

Completed the bear. I think it looks alright, didn’t want to spend too much time on it, since it will just be sitting on the rocking chair, in the background. The fur was easy to do and all, but when I placed it into my room scene, it completely disappeared. Not to mention, when I scaled down the model, the fur completely freaked out. And because the length was already set to 0, I couldn’t trim it down. I’ll work out a run around - using paint effects or something.

Up next: finalising rigging on the mannequin and possibly changing her head

Doll Completed

Finally finished modelling and texturing the doll. Had to model the body twice because fricking maya corrupted the file.

Yep, it’s missing its leg.

First Frame

After many many test tries, I think I have finally found the way to get the mood I’m going for! Yay, treat the image above as like the ‘first frame’.Let me tell you, it took about 10 layers to get it looking like that from this:
